Summary
Jade is currently stationed at Starbase Bravo as a Deck Officer. She has just completed the required 8 year Specialist Officer Track for Law in the Starfleet Academy and the Starfleet Legal Academy. She was not the best student and struggled some in her courses but she worked hard to obtain her degree. She is proud of her work to get to where she is and is eager to get started.

Personality
Jade carries herself with a type of confidence that is apparent to everyone who comes in contact with her. Some people who have known her in the past would describe her as “arrogant.” Those who got to know Jade well would disagree and describe and “guarded” and “reserved.” Only those who she allows to get close to her know that she truly has a mission to “prove herself” and that is where the majority of her work ethic comes from. Although she is often thought to be arrogant, Jade is friendly and carries one of the biggest smiles that is contagious to others.
History
Early Life (2373-2393)
Jade Hart was born December 15th, 2373 in Atlanta and was the only child of Harold Hart and Naomi Hart; Harold, a Major for Military Assault Command Operations and Naomi, a biology professor at the local university.
Much of Jade’s childhood had been influenced by her father. Harold Hart was a Major in the MACOs and was an instructor at the base in Atlanta. Her dad set a very strict training regimen for her which made it difficult for her to make friends. She attending martial arts courses as soon as she returned from school and then had strategic and operations training with her father as soon as returned home. From a young age, it was expected that Jade would follow in her father’s footsteps and join the military. Jade never intended to join the military and only went along with her father’s whims because her mother asked her to. Her father could be difficult and she didn’t want to make life harder on her mother.
Knowing it would disappoint her father, she chose to enroll in Starfleet Academy and ended up passing her entrance exam allowing her to join the Starfleet Legal Academy in the 2397/98 academic year with additional accelerated classes in Starfleet training. Jade joining Starfleet and going to the Legal Academy has caused a huge rift in her relationship with her father and their relationship very strained.
Starfleet Academy and Starfleet Legal Academy (2393-Present)
During her time at the Starfleet Academy, Jade specialized in courses that would prepare her for the legal academy. She specialized in pre-law courses that would help her with getting in to the Legal Academy. While attending, she also took courses in basis starship operations and advanced starship operations. After four years, Jade applied for and passed the test for entry in the Starfleet Legal Academy.
Starfleet Legal Academy was an eye opener for Jade. She discovered that the courses were not going to be easy for her and it was going to take hard work to finish but she would not allow herself to fail. She would work as hard as was required to ensure she passed and earned her degree. She was your typical average grade student, achieving the grades necessary to pass, but not superseding her classmates. The accelerated Starfleet classes didn’t help. They left her very little time for a social life. She spent many afternoons deep in books, studying to ensure she was prepared for class the next day. However after four long years of hard work, she graduated with her J.D., earning herself that first solitary pip. She was assigned as a Deck Officer to Starbase Bravo after graduation.
