Yang Deyao

Ensign Yang is the Helm Officer for the USS Blackbird. As a promising officer expected to have a shining career, he proceeded from the Academy to exciting starship postings as a smallcraft pilot where he enjoyed dangerous test flights and challenging away missions. As he proved himself, superiors first expected, then demanded he advance through the ranks, but Yang was resistant, relishing his life and work. After enough rejected offers and, in the eyes of Command, wasting of his potential, he was assigned to fly the Blackbird, a ship with a profile to suit his skills. It is also, perhaps, a posting where his career has been sent to die.
