Elsie opened the channel with both Byron and Renato at the same time. He waited for their calls to come in.

Renato was the first one to respond, to Elsie’s request for a meeting. He too was sitting in his ready room, waiting for Byron to come on.

Byron responded right behind Renato. He had just sat down at his desk having come into his ready room from the bridge.

“Commodore…Captain. He said politely.

“I didn’t realize you’re being so formal Byron?” Elsie said in a teasing manner. She did appreciate the fact that he made the effort, but it was no secret they were married to each other.

Byron grinned at his wife. “Just trying to follow protocol, Elsie.” His eyes twinkled back at her.

“But let’s get on with today’s briefing. First of all thank you for both for being here on subspace with me, while that’s going to sound weird you know let’s just say thank you for being here.” Elsie started to say a little nervous, then she went on.”I want both of you to set course for the Talvath System.

“I was curious if you were going to send us back there, so in preparation I’ve been having my crew prepare for that possibility.” Renato advised her. He knew about the Tal Shair presence,  but he wasn’t sure if Byron knew.

“I seem to be at a loss here.” Byron said quietly. “We are of course ready to go. Could you fill me in on what the situation is please.”

“The Tal Shair recently paid the Paso Robles a visit during their last mission to the system, they made their intentions clear that they were in the system. Recently the Romulans accused us of having our telescope array at OverWatch to spy on them and now here they are spying on us, so we don’t need them so close to our borders. No we’re not spying on them, but we are trying to star system and we don’t want them having access to our Federation Fleet database and figure out where all of our starships are civilian or Starfleet.”

“I see.” Byron replied after listening to her. “We are going to make our presence known.”

“Correct under the ruse, that you’re delivering more supplies.” Elsie pointed out to Byron and Renato.

Renato already foreseen this coming. “Lieutenant Montoya deserves a raise, he was able to get us some supplies from Starbase Bravo we’re stocked up and ready to head over.” He said with a big smile on his face.

“What about the Oakland you ready to deliver some supplies?” Elsie asked, as she looked over to Byron.

“Yes.” Byron nodded. “We have our supplies and are ready to leave.” His crew would be happy to get out on a mission.

“At the first sign of danger I want you to pull back to Overwatch Station. Just to let you know if also dispatched around about so we’re going to try to increase our sensor net wide.” Elsie explained to both men.

“Understood.” Byron nodded.

“Unless you both have other questions, this completes our briefing.” Elsie said if she looked at both men.

“I have nothing.” Renato said as he looked over to Elsie and then over to Byron.

“No questions here.” Byron said with a nod.  He knew the plan.

” Good luck gentleman, godspeed about you.” Elsie said as a scene fades away, Renato just simply nodded, he doesn’t say anything in response.

Byron nodded to them both and turned to fill his crew in. He knew everyone was restless and would be glad to hear the news.
