Location: USS Paso Robles, Bridge

Renato had confirmed his orders, and he started heading out of the ready room back onto the bridge. “Her orders are confirmed we’re heading back to the Talvath System.” he said is he looked over to Mira his first officer.

Mira smiled back at him, she too also had a sneaky suspicion they were heading back to the Talvath System. “What’s a good thing we altered our course isn’t it?” She said rhetorically with the big grin on her face.

“I can confirm our course has not been altered.” T’Shan said as she decided to chime in. They were on course for the Talvath System. 

“Actually I do want you to alter the course to  put us on a on a direct approach, and send our course correction over to the USS Oakland as well.” Renato suggested it to T’Shan. 

“Hi captain, I’m altering a course now.” T’Shan said as she entered and put in the new course, and she relayed the information over to the USS Oakland.

Once Renato felt the ship change course, he then turned around and looked back to Mira. “Let’s prepare a couple battle simulation drills.” Renato suggested it to Mira. 

Mira liked the idea. “Yes, Captain.” Mira said as the scene starts to fade away. 

Location: USS Paso Robles, Cargo Bay 1 

Lira was inventorying the cargo in Cargo Bay One Starbase Bravo had giving them some cargo to deliver, even though the delivery was on schedule, they still had to keep track of it and make sure that it arrived to the Romulan people. 

She was just working on her last crate, as a team picks back up 2 hours later they just completed their passed their battle simulation drills. And she needed to get her work done soon. 

She didn’t want to burn the midnight oil tonight, so she was working really hard to get everything done in a timely manner. She wanted to hang out with her good friend T’Shan.

She really valued her time with her friend, plus lately it seemed like T’shan was slightly distracted, and she had a sneaky suspicion on why that was. 

She had discovered that recently her friend had been crushing on somebody, but she wouldn’t tell her who it was. Because of that she needed to know. Wasn’t like Vulcans to keep secrets.

So it made her very curious.

Lira finished her last crate, as she started to think it would be a good time to meet T’Shan in the mess hall for a meal. Starbase Bravo gave them self sealing stem bolts to deliver to the Talvath System. 

Starfleet had a surplus of them, and when she meant Starfleet she met mainly Starbase Bravo. And she put the lid on the final container for the crate. She then walks towards the exit and your next stop would be the mess hall. 

Location: USS Paso Robles, Mess Hall

“Fancy meeting you here!” Lira said with a big grin on her face, and she walked up right behind T’Shan. She was trying to scare her and get her to jump start a little but it didn’t work. 

“This is the time we agreed upon.” T’Shan simply pointed out to Lira with the confused look on her face. She was a little puzzled by her response. 

“What happened to that Vulcan sense of humor of yours?” Lira asked as she waited for an answer. 

“I probably left it in my quarters.” T’Shan I said with a straight and serious look on her face. “Would you like me to go back and find it?” T’Shan asked, as she attempted to be humorous.

“There she is, that won’t be necessary.” Lira pointed out to her with a warm smile on her face. 

“I wonder what type of salad are illustrious Chef made for us today?” Lira said that she can continue the conversation moving forward. 

“I am uncertain, I neglected to read the menu for today.” T’Shan explained to Lira, feeling a little guilty for not looking earlier. Typically she would have an answer for such a remedial question. 

“Well we better get in line, if we’re going to eat?” T’Shan said as walked towards the line. 

“Someone’s a little hungry, I’ve never seen somebody so excited for salad.” Lira said teasingly.

“The Chef makes an adequate salad, and it provides the necessary nutrients.” T’Shan pointed out to Lira.  

“You’re kidding right, T’Shan. Right?” Lira asked, finding it a little hard to believe, that T’Shan said an adequate salad. She better hope that Rosa the Captain’s wife never hears that. 

“It has the necessary nutrients, as I stated before.” T’Shan reminded Lira, as she was puzzled about what she had said wrong, she was getting the message she had something wrong. 

“That could be seen as insulting T’Shan. You never want to insult the Chef, especially if you do not want to eat replicated food for the rest of your tour.” Lira pointed out to T’Shan. 

“I had not considered that possibility.” T’Shan said, seeing the ways of her error. It was not her intent to insult Chef Rosa or her cooking. She was only trying to state an honest fact. She was not trying to be rude or insulting.

“You should keep that in consideration. Now I have another query for you.” Lira said, as she wanted to get to the conversation she was most interested in. 

T’Shan looked at her a little puzzled. “I can not respond to a query if you do not state the query.” She simply said, as she waited for the question to be asked. 

“My apologies. I was stalling, but here goes. Who is he?” Lira asked, knowing that it had to be some guy she was interested in. 

“I do not comprehend, there are several he’s the query is too vague, please rephrase your query.” T’Shan asked her politely. 

“Who is the guy you are interested in, the one that has you slightly distracted?” Lira said, as she laid it all out there. She hoped that T’Shan would respond to her query. 

“I do not believe I am distracted.” T’Shan said, trying to deflect the question, by breaking down the query at each element, hoping to get Lira to change the conversation. 

“You can not fool me my friend, I can tell that you are.” Lira said, as she pointed to her head. “I can sense that you have strong feelings for someone. You can share with me. ”

“Interesting deduction my friend, however I am not distracted. I am still out preforming most of my shipmates.” T’Shan said, a little defensive.

“Okay okay, I get it. You’re not ready to talk, but when you are. I am here.” Lira said, as the scene starts to fade away.
