A crowd gathered around him as his fingers danced over the piano keys. His soft baritone voice singing “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole.

As he sang and played he could feel the enjoyment in those around him. The feelings drove his performance to that much better a place.

When he finished the song he took a bow and walked off Outside to an empty spot on the beach as he watched the sunset on his own. Though there had been plenty of offers, Marcus was not looking for something just for a day. Marcus like so many others also knew the pain of long distance relationships, he had also heard to never date a coworker.

As the black filled the sky and the stars became visible he looked for Betazed. He knew which direction it was, but he knew he wouldn’t find it.

Marcus rose and made his way back to his lodging. Setting in for the night.

The next day was full of interview activities. Beach volleyball, pickle ball, even some martial arts competitions. With all of this, he and the other doctors were plenty busy treating people until the facilities medical team took over.

Marcus found himself in another lounge tonight once again playing an singing for a slightly larger group than the night before.

In the morning he woke up on the beach with a massive hangover.
