Sam had already beamed Stu to the surface when the captain came back to the bridge. Simon walked around and saw Aurora sitting in the command chair and without a word she got up to start explaining why cetacean  ops could help keep Sam cooler by letting Stu run it. As they were put into lower orbit touching the atmosphere, with a little red glow to keep them company and as the ship sped up to compensate for the increased friction. The friction was on the right nacelle. Since they beamed down Stu, they already had started scanning the surrounding area around the crash site.  They then noticed a massive life form on the scanners, it was bigger than a humpback whale from what scanners showed.

Simon talked to Aurora about everyday ship operations as they waited for Stu to check in. 2B scanned Thalor V as Stu was on the planet. She picked up numerous readings from orbit as she looked something was coming for the ship at least she thought. Recalibrated sensors just put it as a ghost tracker. At the same time, Aurora said. “We need to check sensors for life in the oceans if Stu finds something.”

Then through the communication to Sam, ” Bakersfield Beam me up.” Sam tries to beam Stu up but nothing the transporters had quit working at this time. The crew got to work on it and  asked Simon what to do next.

“We will use a shuttle to get Stu back, and Sam keep us in lower orbit and near the atmosphere so we can reach the depth where Stu is at. That’s an order.” said Simon.

“Simon, something is heading for Stu.” said 2B.

“2B to Stu get ready for beam out.” She tapped on the keypad and nothing started for the transporter.

“Simon, something’s wrong with the transporter.” said 2B.

“Get Stu back now, Sam!” Simon said.

Sam tried her hardest and rerouting but the transporters were malfunctioning now and she couldn’t figure out why. 10 on the other hand was rerouting power to the shields and propulsion to compensate for the gravity, Sam said she was in.

2B was scanning mountains of ice and a thin atmosphere at Thalor V. Sam prepared the shuttles and the pilots left her through the shuttle bay doors to do a site to site transport. Sam, then increased power to keep her position where she was as her nacelle was being damaged by the heat of the upper atmosphere. Her shields then collapsed due to the strain of the heat and her nacelle was being damaged more. She felt the heat but knew to save Stu first then follow the captain’s orders.

The bridge crew had been knocked around and then a bang from a nacelle happened. As Aurora looked up and saw on the viewscreen debris from the battle hitting the ship and causing moderate damage without the shield,. “Sam, turn yourself where the shields are active remember your training to protect both you and crew.” Then as the she turned a bigger piece hit the shields knocking out lights in that sector of the ship for a sec and damaging secondary power couplings to the warp core. 10 showed great courage by reusing the primary coolant to stop heat from getting worse and fixed the problem in minutes due to his cybernetically body.

At the same time, Stu was beamed back up with the loss of a shuttle. As the shuttle crashed land into the ice the pilots went into survival mode and broadcasted a low pitch SOS to Bakersfield unknowingly setting off alarm bells in the wildlife on Thalor V.A pack of wild cyclops dogs ran to the shuttle pieces to look for something to eat and turn off the low pitch sound. They tore through the SOS generator and then a pilot went missing. The pilot never turned up and then a earthquake hit the landing site with immense quakes and the ice broke loose and made some ice gaps into the ocean with a big splash. Then everyone knew that it was time to get the shuttle back up piece by piece.

When the Bakersfield got back into orbit everything to Sam was a headache, First her nacelles were still hot and power was drained from one hundred percent to now only at seventy eight percent. This was dreadful for her and no one knew it except her.

“Sam,, this is ten what is up?” Ten said. Sam only replied, “Damage Report.”
