Since his last promotion in September, Mark has been an exceptionally active member and leader in our organization, holding leadership roles as first the Task Force 72 Executive Officer until November 7th, 2020, and then as Task Force 72 commanding officer to April 5th, 2021. As TFCO, Mark has also been an important part of our Discord community, offering up regular “Liberty Calls” to engage both Task Force 72 and the fleet at large in conversation, while also accomplishing with precision and dedication the task of activity reporting behind the scenes. Mark ran six competitions during the Sentinels of Peace event in late December, which helped us close the year on a strong note. He was also very active in his fiction writing related to the Cardassian Union, which jumpstarted the Task Force 72 area of Relay Station Bravo.
During this time, his personal activity earned him 50 Duty Ribbons, 12 Service Ribbons, alongside an impressive three Silver Palms he earned for personal activity, service to his task force, and service on the Magistrate Office’s Appeals Panel. The rank of Captain is a milestone for any member, and it is one that should be celebrated. Over the past eight months, Mark has demonstrated a commitment to Bravo Fleet that I am pleased to honor with this recommendation. We look forward to a time where Mark’s day-to-day life and work schedule will allow him to return as the powerhouse we know he is. Congratulations!
I am writing to nominate Joinleth (Mark M) for promotion to the rank of Commander for his service to Task Force 72 as its Executive Officer. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty during his entire recent history in Bravo Fleet, leading his own game, writing a fiction, and remaining one of the highest earners of fiction and post ribbons of anyone in the fleet while also serving admirably in a leadership role. His sustained activity and leadership merit this promotion and he has met the time in grade.
