One of the biggest endeavours that Bravo Fleet took on after April of 2020 was branching out into new forms of activity. We knew it wouldn't be easy, we knew there would be much struggle, and we knew that it would take time. Since taking the position of Gaming Officer in November of 2020, FG has really capitalized on every aspect of gaming in Bravo Fleet that he can.
Since his last promotion in June of 2021, FG has continued to push the Gaming Office forward. Through his leadership, the Gaming Office continually and regularly run Gaming Nights which seem to get bigger and bigger with each event. The Gaming Office has also continued to branch out in games, now regularly using Among Us to bring our community together for some relaxing, gaming events. On top of that, FG consistently capitalizes on the bread and butter of the Gaming Office: Star Trek Online. A clear cut favorite for a group like Bravo Fleet, the Gaming Office is always running some sort of event to coincide with whatever events are going on in STO. A lot of times our players are already running these STO events, so the events going on in BF are just "free money". FG is on the forefront of that concept, and has been capitalizing on it since day one. He has also continued to refine and update gaming policies as more and more people are involved, and more and more gaming takes places including a recent complete rewrite of much of the policies!
Since his last promotion, FG has organized a total of 23 competitions, not including gaming nights that he has personally run or that staff have run under his direction as Gaming Officer. He's additionally earned 217 Combat Action Ribbons during all of his personal participation in gaming events since his last promotion!
For all of his activity in gaming and leadership as Gaming Officer over the past year, I'm happy to promote FG to the rank of Fleet Captain! Congratulations!
Since his last promotion to Commander in January of 2021, FG (aka Some gaming guy/UnknownParticipant) has been both an exemplary member and leader in Bravo Fleet. Typically members are either consuming the different activities Bravo Fleet provides, or they’re producing the activities. FG is one of the rare exceptions in that he does both, and does both wonderfully. As a member, since his last promotion, FG has a diverse set of gaming activity awards totaling 98 Combat Action Ribbons, 53 Strategic Action Ribbons, and 5 Campaign Ribbons. Additionally, he has participated in two competitions, with a placement rate of 100%, earning him a second and third placement good for an Action Medal with a Star Cluster and an Action Medal with a Planet cluster, respectively.
However, where FG really shines has been as the Bravo Fleet Gaming Officer. For the past six months, he has overseen a real drive in activity from the Gaming Office perspective. STO is understandably a main focus of the Bravo Fleet Gaming Office and has been booming with activity, and I can easily say that is because of the different events that the Gaming Office has been running under FG’s direction. From the STO Klingon Recruitment Challenge to the STO Delta Recruit Event, the Gaming Office always has something going on within STO, continually running events that parallel what is going on in-game. The Gaming Office has also recently begun expanding past STO for the first time running gaming nights, impromptu Among Us sessions, and recently incorporating World of Warships as an officially recognized gaming platform for Bravo Fleet members to play together and earn rewards. Under FG, the Gaming Office has continually looked to improve, take in suggestions, open surveys, and really try anything new and exciting that our members might be interested in doing. It hasn’t been an easy path to get to where we are, but FG has been phenomenal at getting the Bravo Fleet Gaming Office where it is today!
Returning to the fleet when the relaunch of Bravo Fleet took place in the spring of 2020, FG has been an incredibly welcome return to the fleet and has been an excellent friend to have back around these parts! These past 6 months since his last promotion have just been a steady continuation of that, and I can say that with everything I’ve personally witnessed him put into the Gaming Office and how seriously he takes it, this is an incredibly well-earned promotion to Captain! Congratulations! — Fleet Admiral Teylas Ramar
Since coming on as Deputy Gaming Officer, and later elevated to Gaming Officer in mid-November, FG has been a huge boost to our gaming corner and activities. He’s helped to drive activity in STO, an uptick in activity submissions for STO, and improving in game quality for our STO players by increasing fleet assets there. On top of that, he’s already begun outreach programs which have been getting positive feedback and requests for new gaming platforms. Already in the works is World of Warships support for Bravo Fleet.
