Captain Taes accepts command of Constellation Squadron to embark on another mission of exploration and diplomacy into the Delta Quadrant.  She engages in trade negotiations with the space-faring K’ritz in search of their famed star charts.  At the start of a new mission, so soon after the expansions and retractions of Devore and Borg space, those star charts are essential to safely pathfinding through the quadrant.

When the K’ritz take offense at Starfleet reappearing after years of radio-silence since first contact, Starfleet is offered the opportunity to normalise diplomatic relations through a ritualistic singing competition.  Taes nominates her new XO.  But they’re not alone.

Constellation Squadron remains a joint mission with the Romulan Free State, and they prepare to enter their own diplomat competitor too.
