Part of Bravo Fleet: Nightfall

USS Resnik

M1: In Blackest Envy

As the Alpha and Beta quadrants suffer at the hands of the Vaadwaur the Resnik is tasked with evacuating a classified research station deep in the Typhon Expanse

Mission Description

The Vaadwaur have come. As the systems of the Alpha and Beta quadrants have been cut off by the Blackout, the Vaadwaur Supremacy has poured from Underspace; an invasion amidst an unprecedented crisis. Cut off from the rest of the galaxy, the Resnik has been ordered by Task Force Command to venture deep into the Typhon Expanse to evacuate a classified research facility.

What the crew finds may very well help turn the tide of the conflict in the Typhon Frontier if they can get it back to DS-17. With a large force of Vaadwaur ships flooding the Typhon Expanse, the Resnik will be forced to play a game of cat and mouse as they try to use the volatile nature of the region to their advantage. With a little luck they can outrun those who seek them in blackest envy.

Sadly for the crew of the USS Resnik, there is little luck to be found in the nightfall.

Vera scrunched her face as she watched the sensor readings. Little tiny dots of subspace disruption continued to open up; 14 so far. They were just at the edge of the sensor range but Winston hadn’t allowed her to boost the sensor resolution to figure out exactly what was going on. She could [...]
